Yoga Classes

Slow Flow

This nurturing class combines the beautiful qualities of slow flow yoga with the calming benefits of restorative and yin postures. Class will begin with a slow & intentional flow practice to move energy & open the body gently. Next, you will fall into a state of deep relaxation with longer-held restorative and yin postures supported by props. These postures help to soften and stretch the muscles and rehydrate the connective tissues, resulting in increased mobility and lessened pain.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is a gentle class adapting yoga poses with a chair. This class cultivates awareness and deep relaxation through meditation, breath work, and gentle stretches all without the stress of getting up and down off the floor. The chair is used for seated postures and meditation and also for greater stability in standing and balance postures. You will experience the same benefits of other yoga classes, such as improved balance, strength, and mobility. You will also learn techniques to calm the mind and body that can be practiced anywhere.

Class involves passively holding poses with the support of props (blankets, blocks, and bolsters) to promote increased energy flow, balance, and the quieting of a busy mind. Power Flow Yoga

A creative and dynamic form of yoga that uses breath to link physical yoga postures. Each class is different, and postures are sequenced in a way to help increase flexibility, strengthen, and tone muscles, and allow you to tune in to your body’s own rhythm. Although all levels are welcome, a reasonable level of fitness/mobility is required.

Level of challenge: Intermediate - Advanced
The space is heated to 85 degrees.

Yin Yoga

A Wellness Traditions mindful style of yoga that uses longer holds to access the fascia and connective tissue in the body. In Yin Yoga, postures are more passive & completed mainly done on the floor. Yin Yoga is unique in that you are asked to relax in the posture, soften the muscles and move closer to the bone. It is not uncommon to see postures held for 3-7 minutes. The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation. Yin yoga offers much deeper access to the body, particularly the fascia. Fascia connects all connective tissues (that means the muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and blood) Fascia holds together the entire body.
You will leave feeling balanced and renewed.
