Should you pull your shoulders down to make space for your neck when you lift up your arms?

This is the kind of knowledge will help you feel confident in your practice. In this workshop we

will explore the shoulder and neck region of the body, and learn what to do with our shoulders

in relation to gravity and the positioning of our arms as well as other anatomical reality-based

alignment techniques for yoga practice. We will spend time learning with anatomical models of

the shoulder joint and the vertebral column for the neck and then apply that knowledge in

practice and exploration of familiar asana.

Bring your curiosity, questions, and an open mind as well as your yoga mat and a notebook if

you wish to take notes. Please also bring snacks/lunch as needed.

All levels welcome.

3 Contact hours with Yoga Alliance for teachers.
