Erika N Whites

500 CYT, Certified Sound Healer

hi, I'm Erika!

we all have a story. id love to hear yours too

I wasn’t an athlete in school. I didn’t have a natural gift for coordination. I always wanted to be a part of a team & share in the camaraderie that I saw so many of my peers had. Music entered my life. I have been on stages in Cleveland & outside of Ohio- performing to crowds & sharing my passions. Yoga entered my life. I have been in studios in Cleveland & across the United States- building communities & sharing in my passions. Music & Yoga often battled for my attention until I realized that I could have both. Today I can be found next to my students & finally a part of a team & a lifelong family surrounded by sound & movement.

The origin of my approach to “Wellness Experiences” is a unique story. You can learn a lot from your mentors- things to emulate & others to not. I was in a class & my teacher said, “not all yoga classes are experiences.” That stuck with me. It resonated in a way that I always wanted my students & audiences to know that I will commit to providing an experience to them every time they see me. Here’s the thing- you never know where someone is in their lives on the day you see them. Their worst day, their best day. Either way, they deserve the most complete experience that you can offer. Not everything will be a grand production, but each session will be prepared & from the heart.

That’s the difference between “teaching” & “leading”.

I am grateful for all teachers & mentors in my life. They led me to where I am today.
As an instructor, I’ve been leading group fitness classes for over a decade & leading sound immersions since 2020.
Previously as a co-founder/co-creator of a Fitness Studio established in 2018, my story continues as I forge my path in Cleveland as an independent instructor.

Join me. I’m excited about to have you in my life.

Marque Garaux

Marque is a a US Marine Veteran, long time rock climber and overall outdoor enthusiast, discovered Ashtanga Yoga while seeking different ways to alleviate his lower back pain. After noticing an almost immediate physical change, Marque then slowly began to see other positive changes happening in his life as well. With no Ashtanga teachers in the area, he found himself with no choice but to get up early and practice on his own before work everyday. During this time Marque also attended a 200 teacher training and several Ashtanga workshops and intensives to deepen his understanding of this beautiful system.
In the fall of 2014 Marque decided to follow in the footsteps of the teachers that he most respected and applied for study at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI). Marque was accepted and spent the first 2 months of 2015 in Mysore, India learning under the guidance of R. Sharath Jois. Marque has practiced with Sharath during multipe US tours and has also returned to India each year since and has practiced with both Sharath and Saraswathi. Marque received the blessing (Level 2 Authorization) from Sharath on December 12th, 2017 during his morning practice.
Marque is the owner of Great Lakes Ashtanga Yoga, where he runs a full Mysore program, teaches private lessons and hosts workshops. He, his wife and their adopted Indian street dog travel as often as possible to climb or to share yoga with others.
